Hounds’ Hideaway exercises extreme caution in taking care of your pet. Should your pet become ill, we will attempt to contact you for treatment options and approval. If unavailable, HH will have your pet treated promptly at an approved veterinarian office or emergency veterinary clinic at the nearest available location. In leaving your pet with Hounds’ Hideaway, you understand the risk in communal boarding and off-leash playgroups, and with dogs being near and around each other. The includes the risk of catching illnesses such as Kennel Cough or other contagious illnesses, of which Hounds’ Hideaway has no control over. All pets are required to be vaccinated, however, as in humans, not all vaccines can 100% prevent an illness. Kennel Cough is usually a mild upper respiratory illness similar to a human cold that can be passed from dog to dog and can usually be treated quickly. HH uses extreme diligence in detecting, isolating, and treating a pet if this is discovered. However, Hounds’ Hideaway is NOT RESPONSIBLE should your pet contract Kennel Cough or any other dog-dog transmittable illness, as we have no control over this. Your pet’s health is our #1 concern and we do everything possible to maintain a clean and safe environment, but some things are beyond our control.
